Candidates who apply for permanent residence in Canada must pay a fee of government immigration.
Rights required by Quebec authorities
Quebec authorities require a processing fee for candidates who want to settle in Quebec. This fee is payable at the time of filing of the application and is not refundable in case of refusal. This right is added to those required by the Canadian authorities.
Processing Fee:
- Skilled Worker: C $ 750
- entrepreneur and self-employed: $ 1.013 CAD
- Investor: CA $ 4.102
- Sponsorship: $ 266 CA
- each dependent, including the spouse: CA $ 160
Rights required by Canadian authorities strong>
You must pay two different fees when you apply for immigration to Canada. A fee is charged for processing your request and one for the school.
You must pay the fee for the processing when you submit your application to the Visa Canada. This right is not refundable.
Processing Fee: strong>
- Skilled Worker: CA $ 550
- Businessman: CA $ 1,050
- Sponsorship: $ 550 CA
- each dependent aged 22 or more: $ 550 CA
- each dependent under 22 years: $ 150 CA

The landing must be paid by the principal applicant and spouse (if) or partner and children 22 years and older accompanying but, unlike the law relating to treatment, it is refundable if an immigrant visa is not issued or is not used or the application is withdrawn.
The following applicants are not required to pay these fees:
A dependent child of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted and a brother, sister, nephew, niece, grand-son or granddaughter who are orphans
Protected persons, including refugees of the Convention.
Other fees
You will pay extra for:
- language tests (about $ 250 CAD)
- French evaluation test
- International English Language Testing System
- medical examination (about $ 150 CAD)
- Police certificates
